Our reusable wraps are handmade in Sussex. Cotton is infused with a mix of Kentish rapeseed oil, pine resin and beeswax. This precise combination delivers a completely natural, food-safe adhesive that's great for covering food and crockery items, making clingfilm a thing of the past.
Unfold your wrap. To loosen it up, simply flex and fold between your fingers, then mould the wrap around the item you are covering. The heat from you hands will activate the natural adhesive allowing it to self seal around a bowl or plate, or secure to itself.
In between uses simply clean your wraps with a wet soapy cloth. A wash may not be needed if covering dry items like crackers or crisps. Allow your wraps to dry, roll them up to store, then use again and again as needed.
Your wraps will last as long as the life of the cotton. To maintain the adhesive though, we recommend refreshing every 2 - 3 months. Refreshing is the process of redistributing the existing wax with something like a hair dryer - no additional wax needed for this. You'll know when refreshing is needed as the wrap may start to feel less sticky or more prominent fold lines may appear.
We recommend topping up the wax on your wraps every 4 - 6 months using our Green Bee re-wax blocks - this will give them a new lease of life. Re-waxing is achieved by grating the block onto your wrap before ironing or melting the wax in an electric oven.
Refreshing and re-waxing are really simple processes that only take 5 minutes. To help, we provide a detailed care guide with every purchase to ensure you get the most from your wraps.
Green Bee's reusable beeswax wraps are handmade in the Sussex countryside using 100% natural ingredients sourced through a network of local suppliers.
We use end-of-roll materials to minimise wastage with our suppliers - which is why our packs predominantly contain random patterns. Differing patterns also allows you to quickly distinguish between the items you are covering.
This pack contains 3 x 100% cotton wraps, expertly infused with food-grade beeswax, Kentish rapeseed oil and tree resin.
This unique formulation took over 12 month's to develop, giving our wraps the perfect self-sealing adhesive and moulding properties that seals your food perfectly whilst still allowing it to breathe. The mix is also renowned for its antibacterial and anti-fungal properties which slows down bacteria reproduction, meaning your food stays fresher for much longer when compared to clingfilm!
We've also been able to reduce any unnecessary stickiness when handling, and minimised any overpowering scents that might sometimes be associated with beeswax wraps.
Green Bee wraps are designed for wrapping food, bowls and plates. They're also great for storing snacks when on the move in place of sandwich bags.
We’ve evolved this pack for those customers who do not want small sizes. Instead, it contains 3 x extra large sized wraps:-3 x extra large (35 x 30cm) - perfect for sandwiches and large plates.
Industry creates 300 millions tonnes of plastic every single year - 8 million of which ends in the ocean.
In UK households, we use enough clingfilm annually to go around the world 30 times. You could help reduce that figure by replacing the clingfilm you use with our UK handmade beeswax food wraps.
As a UK veteran owned business, our mission is to drive sustainable change for the sake of the generations that follow. We do this by providing the finest artisanal alternatives to single use plastics at a fair price, while also educating people about the wonders of our planet, and the importance of environmental preservation.
